Description
American Traveler is hiring a Neuro IR Tech with a minimum of 1-2 years of IR experience for a 13-week assignment in a Magnet-designated Level II Trauma Center and teaching hospital in Rapid City, SD.
Details
- Work in a Medical Imaging - Interventional Radiology unit with 2 IR suites and 1 overflow room
- Facility is a Magnet-designated Level II Trauma Center, Level II Pediatric Trauma Center, Level III NICU, and Primary Stroke and Chest Pain Center
- Variable day shift schedule; specific shift details discussed during interview
- 40 hours per week
- On-call requirements include one overnight call per week (4:00 PM – 7:00 AM) and one weekend call every three weeks (Friday 5:00 PM – Monday 7:00 AM)
- Holiday coverage is required and based on rotation
- May be asked to float to other areas within or below scope as needed
- Charting in Epic (required) and Omnicell
- Patient types discussed during interview
Requirements
- Minimum of 1-2 years of IR experience required; 2 years preferred
- Current BLS required
- ARRT or RCIS certification required
- Vascular Interventional Radiology (VI) specialty preferred; will be discussed during interview
- Proficiency with sterile/scrub technique, Siemens equipment, and Epic EMR
- Experience with dialysis patient population (shuntograms, permacaths), port placement, drain/catheter placements, and embolizations
- First-time travelers considered with at least 2 years of experience
- 2 professional references dated within the past year required for consideration
- DOB and SSN required for consideration
- License required if applicable
- Candidates must reside at least 100 miles from the facility
Additional Information
- Orientation consists of 5 days of 8-hour shifts
- Procedural scrubs are provided
- Former permanent staff must wait 1 full year before returning as a traveler
- Time off requests must be approved by the manager
- Free parking is available on-site
