Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN with at least 2 years of experience and prior travel experience for a 13-week contract in a hospital operating room setting in West Texas.

Details

• Position is located in a hospital operating room (OR) department
• Schedule options include 5x8-hour or 4x10-hour day shifts, with a start time of 6:30 AM
• Rotating call is required, shared between 2 RNs on a rotating weekly schedule (Mon, Tue, Fri–Sun one week; Wed and Thu the following week)
• On-call coverage is limited to general surgery and emergency C-sections
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active TX RN license or a compact RN license valid in Texas
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of OR RN experience required
• Circulating experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• 2 supervisor references from within the last 3 years required for consideration

Additional Information

• Traveler must report to the main Shannon Medical Center campus in San Angelo on the first day before resuming the contract at the Big Spring location
• Facility conducts its own drug screen upon arrival, including testing for marijuana — a positive result results in immediate cancellation with no exceptions; candidates should avoid any substances, including CBD products, that could cause a positive result
• Candidates must reside more than 110 miles from the facility — local candidates are not accepted
