Description
American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an inpatient rehab position, welcoming new grads and requiring BLS certification.
Details
- Inpatient rehabilitation hospital setting with 93 beds, 80 currently staffed
- Patient population spans all ages, averaging 65 years old, with occasional pediatric cases
- Caseload is approximately 60% neurological conditions (spinal cord injury, stroke, MS, ALS, Parkinson's) and 40% other diagnoses
- Typical productivity involves 6-6.5 hours of direct patient care, treating 6-7 patients per day at about 1 hour each
- Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM
- No weekend scheduling required
- Uses WellSky EMR
Requirements
- BLS certification required
- New graduates accepted
- License required if applicable
- Experience with neurological conditions including spinal cord injury, stroke, MS, ALS, and Parkinson's disease preferred
- Experience with post-stroke rehabilitation, traumatic brain injury, and cognitive disorders preferred
- Familiarity with Neurodevelopmental Technique (NDT) preferred
- Experience with spinal mobilization and post-op spinal surgery preferred
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include treating a diverse patient population with a strong focus on neurological rehabilitation
- Black and/or red scrubs required
