Description
American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with pediatric critical care experience for a night shift position at a children's hospital in Oklahoma City, OK.
Details
- Respiratory Care department in a pediatric hospital setting
- Children's hospital experience preferred
- Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)
- 26-week contract
Requirements
- Graduation from an approved Respiratory Care Program
- Minimum 1 year of respiratory care experience required; 2+ years in a critical care setting preferred
- RRT credential required (must be obtained within 12 months of hire)
- Licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner by the Oklahoma Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required upon hire
- ACLS certification from the AHA required within 3 months of hire
- All certifications must be issued by the AHA
- License required if applicable
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
Additional Information
- Administer therapeutic treatments as prescribed by attending medical staff
- Perform invasive and noninvasive diagnostic testing and patient monitoring
- Document treatment information and patient responses in the computerized medical record
- Participate as part of the rapid response team for cardiac and respiratory arrests
- Ensure respiratory equipment is properly cleaned and maintained
- Serve as a resource to medical staff regarding respiratory therapy procedures and equipment
- Workers who have previously worked at this facility may extend one time for a total of 26 weeks; a 6-month separation period is required before re-engaging after the 26 weeks
- This facility has strict compliance deadlines — travelers must complete all onboarding requirements promptly and on time
