Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN for a 13-week travel contract in Kona, Hawaii, requiring a minimum of 2 years of critical care experience and an active HI RN license.

Details

• 9-bed ICU unit within a community hospital setting
• Primary adult ICU population; may occasionally care for stable pediatric patients (unstable pediatric patients are transferred to a higher level of care)
• Standard nurse-to-patient ratio is 2:1, with 1:1 ratios when clinically indicated
• Med/surg overflow patients may be assigned, with ratios up to 3-4 patients per nurse in those cases
• Minimum of three nurses staffed per shift
• 12-hour day or night shifts available
• Schedule is 72 hours every two weeks
• May be asked to float to other departments to assist (not to take a full patient assignment)

Requirements

• Active Hawaii (HI) RN license required
• Current certifications required: BLS/BCLS, ACLS, and PALS
• Minimum of 2 years of ICU/critical care nursing experience required
• Pediatric nursing experience required
