Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Interventional Radiology position requiring Epic proficiency and stroke thrombectomy experience.

Details

• Interventional Radiology unit within a hospital setting
• Patient population spans pediatrics to geriatrics
• Nurse-to-room ratio of 4 rooms with an average daily census of 25
• Charting via Epic (required) and Pyxis; uses SBAR communication framework
• Day shift, 5x8-hour shifts (7:30 AM – 4:00 PM)
• Every third weekend required, not to exceed 2 weekends per month
• Floating within the facility within scope of practice as needed
• On-call is rotated among the team

Requirements

• Active GA or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of IR RN experience required
• Stroke thrombectomy experience required — hard stop
• Proficiency in Epic required
• Copies of all required certifications must be provided for consideration
• Two supervisory references (Manager level or above; charge nurses not accepted) are highly preferred

Additional Information

• Scrubs are provided by the facility
• RTO is capped at 7 days for the duration of the assignment; RTO cannot be requested during the first week
• RTO must be submitted at the time of consideration — finalized RTO dates required upfront
• Holiday coverage policy: if one or two major holidays fall within the assignment period, travelers are expected to work all of them; if three major holidays fall within the assignment, travelers must work two (one holiday RTO request may be reviewed for approval)
• Major holidays include: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday (counts as 1), Christmas Eve/Christmas Day (counts as 1), and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day (counts as 1)
• No scheduling requests or alternate shift arrangements are permitted — the posted shift is firm
• Travelers must have been away from all facilities within this health system for at least one full year before returning as a traveler
• Local candidates are accepted
• First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
