Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Operating Room position requiring a minimum of 2 years of OR experience, including robotics and orthopedic/sports medicine background.
Details
- Hospital-based Operating Room setting, approximately 30% inpatient and 70% outpatient
- Pediatric cases make up approximately 10% of the caseload
- Surgical specialties include orthopedics, general surgery, urology, gynecology, spine, ENT, total joints, neuro/spine, OB-GYN, plastics, robotics, trauma, and vascular
- Day shift schedule: 5x8-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
- On-call shifts are 12 hours; weekday call runs 7 PM–7 AM, and weekend/holiday call runs either 7 PM–7 AM or 7 AM–7 PM
- Call is distributed evenly among approximately 15 RNs
- Weekend coverage is for on-call support only
- Floating to other campuses may be required
- Epic EMR experience required
Requirements
- Active WA RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
- BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
- Minimum 2 years of OR experience required
- Orthopedic/sports medicine experience required
- Robotics experience required
- Experience with procedural sedation required
- Experience with blood/blood products administration required
- Experience with drains, epidural pumps, wound vac, and PICC/central lines required
- Experience with Port-A-Cath and vascular device access/care required
- Scrub experience preferred
- ENT experience with endoscope preferred
- Epic EMR experience required
- Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting required
- Full SSN and DOB required for consideration
- All required certifications must be current and on file
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Former permanent staff of Swedish facilities are not eligible for this position
- Candidates with prior Providence facility experience (permanent, travel, or per-diem) must disclose the location(s) and dates worked
- Travelers are expected to float between all facilities within the state; refusal to float may result in assignment termination
- Minimal RTO is strongly preferred for this position
- Robotics and ENT with endoscope experience are strongly preferred and should be highlighted in the candidate profile
