Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN for a 13-week travel contract in Edmonds, WA, requiring at least 2 years of OR experience including ortho and spine, with a 4x10 day schedule and no weekends.
Details
- Hospital-based Operating Room setting with a mix of approximately 40% inpatient and 60% ambulatory/outpatient surgical cases
- Patient population includes adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
- Circulating responsibilities include ENT, General Surgery, Total Joints, Neuro/Spine, OB/GYN, Ortho, Plastics, Pre-op, and Post-op
- Scrubbing responsibilities include Vascular cases
- CVOR, neuro, and robotics experience are not required
- Standard community hospital surgical case volume
- 4x10-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
- No weekend requirements
- On-call is required, averaging approximately 48–56 hours per 6-week schedule (roughly 6–7 eight-hour call shifts), with variability based on staff availability
- Epic EMR required
- Floating between all facilities within the state is expected
Requirements
- Active WA RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
- BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
- Minimum 2 years of OR RN experience required
- Required specialty experience: Ortho, Spine, Vascular, ENT, General Surgery, and GYN
- Ortho and Spine experience are specifically required
- Proficient scrub skills preferred (total joints scrub experience not specifically required)
- Epic EMR experience required
- Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty or setting
- Full SSN and DOB required for consideration
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Previous permanent employees of this facility are not eligible for this position — no exceptions, regardless of time elapsed
- Minimal RTO is strongly preferred for this role
- Refusal to float between state facilities may result in termination of the assignment
- Candidates must disclose any prior work history at a Providence facility (permanent, travel, or per diem) including location and dates
