Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift ICU position at a Level I trauma center, requiring at least 2 years of general ICU experience and active MO or Compact RN licensure.

Details

  • Work in a 14-bed Surgical/Trauma ICU (SICU) at an academic medical center
  • Patient population includes Level I trauma patients, complex and critical general surgery patients, and post-op vascular surgery patients
  • Utilizes advanced hemodynamic monitoring, extensive wound management, and bedside procedures including occasional bedside OR
  • Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:30
  • Block scheduling may be available and can be discussed during the interview
  • Cerner EMR experience preferred but not required

Requirements

  • Active MO or Compact RN license currently in hand (no pending licenses)
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • Minimum 2 years of general ICU experience required
  • At least 1 year of experience in the ICU specialty required
  • Two professional references required
  • Ability to ambulate, reach, and move objects weighing up to and over 20 lbs

Additional Information

  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply
  • Candidates residing within 75 miles of the facility are eligible but may be subject to a reduced pay rate
  • Must work 50% of holidays that fall within the contract period; the facility will work with travelers to accommodate preferred holidays
  • RTO requests must be submitted at the time of application; requests submitted after will not be approved
  • Role involves routine exposure to patients with contagious illnesses in a 24/7 healthcare environment
