Description
American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab Technologist with at least 1 year of experience in a cardiac cath lab setting, including diagnostic, interventional, and structural procedures, for a 13-week travel assignment at a major academic medical center in West Virginia.
Details
- Work in the cardiac cath lab of a large 838-bed short-term acute care hospital and Level IV Trauma Center that is a member of the Council of Teaching Hospitals and Health Systems (COTH)
- Daily caseload of 8–10 cases per technologist
- Procedures include diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization as well as structural heart procedures
- 4x10-hour day shifts from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM
- On-call is required with a 30-minute response time; weekend call rotates between first and backup call, running Friday 7:00 PM through Monday 7:00 AM
- Weekend obligation is call only — no scheduled weekend day shifts
- Charting via Cerner
- May be asked to float within scope per facility needs, though assignment will primarily remain in the cath lab; no floating to sister facilities
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of cath lab experience with competency in all aspects of diagnostic catheterization, intervention, and structural heart procedures
- Active West Virginia RN or RT state license required to begin the assignment; candidates with a pending WV license may be considered (license required if applicable)
- ARRT registration required
- Note: RCIS credential is not recognized by West Virginia as a licensed qualification for cath lab practice and does not meet the state's requirements for this role
- First-time travel assignments are not accepted — prior travel or equivalent experience required
- Candidates must live more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible; candidates within 75–99 miles may be submitted for facility approval
- Two professional references required for consideration
- PDF copies of Driver's License and Social Security card required for consideration
