Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Level 1 Trauma Emergency Department position, working nights with a valid MO or compact RN license required.
Details
- Work setting is a Level 1 Trauma, Stroke, and STEMI Emergency Department within an academic hospital
- Pediatric ED is co-located within the main ED
- Floating is required between the ED and ED Observation unit
- Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (18:45–07:15)
- Every other weekend required
- 50% holiday coverage required
- Cerner charting experience preferred but not required
Requirements
- Active MO or compact RN license currently in hand — no pending licenses accepted
- Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required, with at least 1 year in the ED specialty
- Level 1 Trauma ED experience required
- Must be able to ambulate, reach, and move objects weighing up to and over 20 lbs
- 2 professional references required for consideration
- Any requested RTO must be disclosed at time of consideration
Additional Information
- CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) certification preferred; Behavioral Health RNs will need a CPI Blue Card
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply if they have Level 1 Trauma experience
- Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible for this position; candidates between 50–75 miles may be considered at a reduced travel pay rate
- The facility operates 24/7 and rotating shifts, holiday work, and availability during inclement weather are expected
