Description
American Traveler is hiring a Interventional Radiology Technologist for a 16-week travel assignment, with a minimum of 1 year of IR experience and BLS certification required.
Details
- Interventional Radiology unit in an acute care hospital setting
- Adult to geriatric patient population
- Average daily census of 8 patients
- EMR systems include Epic, Pyxis, and PACS
- Day shift, 5x8 hours from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM
- Every other weekend required
- 10 days of call required per month
- Floating within the facility and scope of practice as needed
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of Interventional Radiology Tech experience
- Active BLS certification required
- License required if applicable
- Two supervisory references (manager level or above; charge nurse references not accepted) are highly preferred
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are accepted for this position
- Local candidates are accepted
- Scrubs are provided by the facility
- RTO maximum of 7 days; RTO cannot be requested during the first week of the assignment
- RTO blackout dates apply during Spring Break (April 4–12)
- If one or two major holidays fall within the assignment period, travelers are expected to work those holidays and no holiday RTO can be requested; if three major holidays fall within the assignment period, travelers are expected to work two of them and one holiday RTO request may be reviewed for approval
- Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day
- Travelers must have been away from all facilities in this health system for a full year before returning as a traveler
- No scheduling requests or alternate shift requests are permitted; the listed shift is firm
- Full compliance is required to start on time
