Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift ICU position at an academic medical center in Missouri, requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and an active MO or Compact RN license.
Details
- Medical ICU (MICU) unit within a large academic medical center
- Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- May be scheduled every other weekend
- 50% of holidays encountered during the contract are required
- Floating within the ICU cluster; if not needed in the ICU cluster, may be floated to Med/Surg areas
- Cerner charting used; experience preferred but not required
Requirements
- Active MO or Compact RN license currently in hand — no pending licenses accepted
- Minimum 2 years of overall RN experience and at least 1 year of ICU experience required
- Prior experience in a large facility or academic medical center required
- BLS required (standard for ICU RN roles)
- Ability to ambulate, reach, and lift/move objects weighing 20 lbs or more, with or without reasonable accommodation
- 2 professional references required
- Any requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at time of consideration
Additional Information
- First-time travelers with solid ICU experience from a large facility or academic center will be considered
- Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible for the travel rate; candidates within 75 miles may be considered at a reduced rate
- Role involves routine contact with patients who may have contagious illnesses
- This is a 13-week contract at a 24/7 healthcare facility — rotating shifts, holiday coverage, and availability during inclement weather are expected
