Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift ICU position at an academic medical center in Missouri, requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and an active MO or Compact RN license.

Details

• Medical ICU (MICU) unit within a large academic medical center
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• May be scheduled every other weekend
• 50% of holidays encountered during the contract are required
• Floating within the ICU cluster; if not needed in the ICU cluster, may be floated to Med/Surg areas
• Cerner charting used; experience preferred but not required

Requirements

• Active MO or Compact RN license currently in hand — no pending licenses accepted
• Minimum 2 years of overall RN experience and at least 1 year of ICU experience required
• Prior experience in a large facility or academic medical center required
• BLS required (standard for ICU RN roles)
• Ability to ambulate, reach, and lift/move objects weighing 20 lbs or more, with or without reasonable accommodation
• 2 professional references required
• Any requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at time of consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers with solid ICU experience from a large facility or academic center will be considered
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible for the travel rate; candidates within 75 miles may be considered at a reduced rate
• Role involves routine contact with patients who may have contagious illnesses
• This is a 13-week contract at a 24/7 healthcare facility — rotating shifts, holiday coverage, and availability during inclement weather are expected
