Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position in Worcester, MA, requiring a permanent MA RN license and the ability to read telemetry.

Details

Emergency Department (ER) setting at an acute care hospital in Worcester, MA
Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, with a base start time of 7:00 PM
Shift start time may flex up to four hours earlier or later based on urgent department staffing needs (this occurs very rarely)
Epic EMR experience is preferred
13-week contract

Requirements

Active, permanent MA RN license currently in hand
Minimum 1.5 years of RN experience required
Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
Must be able to read and interpret telemetry
Two professional references required, with at least one from a Nurse Manager or higher
Candidates must reside more than 200 miles from the facility to qualify
No prior disciplinary actions or restrictions on nursing license

Additional Information

Orientation includes two pass/fail exams — a medication exam and a telemetry/EKG exam — each with only one attempt allowed; failure of either exam results in immediate contract cancellation
Study materials will be provided prior to and during orientation to help candidates prepare for both exams
First-time travelers are not explicitly excluded, but the exam policy and experience requirements should be carefully considered
