Description

American Traveler is hiring a Travel Echo/Cardiac Sonographer for a 12-week assignment in Bountiful, UT, requiring 2+ years of experience and the ability to work independently in a cardiac ultrasound setting.

Details

• Cardiac Ultrasound unit within a 125-bed acute care hospital (non-inpatient department)
• Patient population includes adults from the ER, inpatient floors, and outpatient scheduled appointments
• Procedures include transthoracic, stress, transesophageal, and intra-operative echocardiograms performed in inpatient, outpatient, and intraoperative settings
• Equipment used: Philips EPIQ CV 30
• Documentation systems: Meditech and Merge
• Tuesday through Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM shift
• No call required Tuesday through Friday evenings; 24-hour call required on Saturdays and Sundays
• 12-week contract

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience as an Echo/Cardiac Sonographer, with active experience within the last 6 months
• Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC accepted)
• One of the following credentials required: RDMS, RDCS, or RCS
• Experience scanning adult patients in ER, inpatient, and outpatient settings
• Ability to work independently without additional techs or a supervisor on site
• Ability to scan newborns for failed CCHD screenings
• License required if applicable
• US SSN and DOB required for consideration
• One professional reference required (two required for candidates licensed in Florida or Missouri)
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — no local candidates accepted
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
