Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel Radiology Technologist (X-Ray) in Waco, TX for a 13-week assignment requiring ARRT certification, TX MRT licensure, and a minimum of 2 years of experience.

Details

• Hospital-based imaging/X-ray department serving ambulatory and inpatient populations including newborn, pediatric, young adult, adult, and geriatric patients
• Schedule is 3x12-hour day shifts, Thursday through Saturday, 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM
• Call may be required depending on department needs

Requirements

• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a Radiology Technologist
• Active ARRT-R certification required
• Active TX MRT license required (license required if applicable)
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required
• Ability to perform high-quality radiology procedures independently and according to established exam protocols
• 2 professional references required for consideration
• DOB and SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

• Performs radiologic procedures including patient positioning, equipment setup, and exposure factor adjustment under general Radiologist supervision
• Responsible for radiation dose monitoring and adhering to dose reference level protocols
• Maintains documentation of patient history, pregnancy status, shielding precautions, consent forms, and imaging records
• Screens individuals prior to department entry and follows infection control and sterile technique protocols
• May serve as a preceptor for new team members and on new services or initiatives
• Flu vaccination is mandatory with no exemptions; typically required between August and November
• Blue scrubs required
• Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this travel position
