Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring 2+ years of L&D experience and active KY or compact licensure in a rotating 36/48 schedule.

Details

• Hospital-based Labor & Delivery unit with rotation across L&D, Postpartum, and Nursery
• Level 1 acute care setting
• Day shift, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM, on a rotating 36/48 schedule (alternating 3x12 and 4x12 weeks)
• Every other weekend required
• Floating required within scope of practice
• Blocked scheduling cannot be accommodated
• Meditech EMR

Requirements

• Active KY or compact RN license currently in hand — no exceptions
• Minimum 2 years of recent L&D experience in a Level 1 acute care setting
• Experience in Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Nursery required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and Intermediate AWHONN Fetal Monitoring
• Driver's license with address matching permanent address required for consideration
• 2 professional references required: at least 1 Charge Nurse or higher, and 1 supervisor reference, both completed within the last year
• Middle name required; confirmation needed if candidate does not have one

Additional Information

• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible
• Travelers who have worked within the ARH system for one year must take a minimum 6-month break before returning
• Up to 7 days of RTO may be considered; RTO must be submitted upfront and no changes will be accepted
• Must be available to work at least one major or one minor holiday
• Orientation is held bi-weekly
• Travel pairs are accepted on a limited basis; pairs will not be placed on the same shift or unit
• Any license or background check issues must be disclosed upfront
