Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position in Ohio, requiring a minimum of 2 years of PCU experience and Epic proficiency.

Details

• Work in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) within an academic medical center setting
• Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
• Weekday shifts with some weekend requirements
• Rotating holiday coverage required
• Patient ratio of 1:3
• Required to float within units of equivalent or lower acuity
• Epic EMR experience required
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active OH RN license or Compact RN license (must be active at time of consideration)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of PCU experience required
• Proficiency in IV insertion and telemetry monitoring required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred
• 2 professional references required: at least 1 from a Manager, Director, or Supervisor; a Charge RN is acceptable as the second reference; no coworker references accepted

Additional Information

• Local candidates are accepted
• Former facility employees are eligible to apply after a minimum 6-month separation from the facility
• All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of consideration and is limited to 7 days or less for the contract period
• Ohio state fingerprinting is required and must be initiated promptly upon accepting an offer — candidates outside Ohio will need to travel to an in-state fingerprinting location or complete a mailed fingerprinting packet as quickly as possible
