Description
American Traveler is hiring a Radiology Technologist for a part-time night shift contract at a 636-bed, Magnet-designated Level III Trauma Center in Milwaukee, WI, with a minimum of 2 years of acute or surgical experience required.

- Located at a 636-bed, Magnet-designated Level III Trauma Center and Primary Stroke Center in Milwaukee, WI
- Radiology department includes 5 diagnostic rooms, 2 fluoro rooms, 1 video swallow room, 2 clinic diagnostic rooms, 3 pain clinic rooms, and 1 dental room
- Patient population includes inpatient, outpatient, ED, and procedural cases across all age ranges, with some pediatric patients
- Average caseload of 15–20 patients per tech per day
- Procedures include fluoroscopy (ERCPs, bronchoscopies, pain clinic procedures, urology cases) and OR cases (ortho, general, spine)
- EMR is Epic; PACS is McKesson
- Equipment includes GE, Fuji, and Del Medical X-ray systems; GE 9900 and Elite C-arms; and Medtronic O-arms
- Part-time 3rd shift (nights), with 2–3 eight-hour shifts per week totaling 40 hours biweekly
- Shift start times flex 1–1.5 hours depending on staffing needs
- Every other weekend rotation required
- One on-call shift per week required
- One holiday shift required per contract
- No floating to other units
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of acute or surgical experience required
- ARRT certification required
- Active WI license required (license required if applicable)
- Current BLS required
- Proficiency in surgical/procedure imaging, general radiology, and portable X-ray required
- Mid-to-high level acute care hospital experience required
- Fluoroscopy experience required, including ERCPs, bronchoscopies, pain clinic procedures, and urology cases
- OR imaging experience required, including ortho, general, and spine cases; comfort with O-arm preferred
- Minimum of 1 professional reference from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN dated within the past year required for consideration
- DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration
- Middle name or initial required for consideration
Additional Information
- First-time travelers may be considered depending on demonstrated surgical and procedure skill level
- Former employees of Advocate Health or any of its subsidiaries must be separated for at least 12 months before being eligible
- Local candidates are accepted at the same rate — no radius restrictions apply
- Department is staffed with a radiologist on site 24/7, a lead tech on 1st shift, and a team of 14 day techs, 7 on 2nd shift, and 3 on 3rd shift
- RT, hospitalist, and intensivist coverage available 24/7
- Orientation includes NEO followed by 7 days of department-specific training
- Surgery scrubs are provided on site
- Work environment is fast-paced with high patient acuity
- Free parking is available on site
