Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Ortho/Neuro Unit night shift position in Janesville, WI, requiring a current WI or compact RN license and NIHSS certification.

Details

• Hospital-based Ortho/Neuro Unit setting
• Orthopedic and neurological patient population
• 12-hour night shifts, 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend and holiday coverage required
• Floating to other units may be required
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active WI or compact RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS/BCLS certification required
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
• Prior Ortho/Neuro or Med-Surg nursing experience required
• Education verification required for consideration

Additional Information

• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team members to develop and execute individualized patient plans of care
• Administers medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, policies, and standards of care
• Applies critical thinking to patient safety and experience, escalating concerns through the appropriate chain of command
• Participates in unit performance improvement activities, which may include shared governance
• Provides clinical expertise and guidance to other units in support of patients' longitudinal care plans
