Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ED RN for a 13-week day shift travel contract in Elizabethtown, KY, requiring an active KY or compact RN license and multiple emergency-specific certifications.

• Emergency Department setting within a hospital environment
• Provides urgent and emergency medical care to a diverse patient population
• Day shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted RN license — KY state or compact license required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, ENPC, and TNCC
• ADN or ASN required; BSN preferred
• Ability to assess age-specific patient safety needs and implement appropriate safety measures
• MM/DD of date of birth and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

• Nursing practice is patient-centered and grounded in evidence-based practice, current research, and hospital/department policies
• Responsibilities include comprehensive patient assessment, care planning, treatment implementation, patient and family education, and discharge coordination
• Collaborates with an inter-professional care team, delegates tasks appropriately, and monitors delegated care
• Participates in unit-based quality improvement activities including patient satisfaction, fall prevention, CAUTI reduction, and documentation auditing
• BSN is preferred but not required
