Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Long-Term Care (LTC) position at a Wisconsin nursing home, requiring an active WI or compact RN license and BLS certification.

Details

Long-term care (LTC) nursing home setting
Day shift schedule running 6:00 AM–2:30 PM or 6:00 AM–3:30 PM depending on the week
Week one schedule: Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday
Week two schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday
Every other weekend required
13-week contract

Requirements

Active WI RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
Current BLS/BCLS certification required
Associate degree in nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor's degree (BSN) preferred
1+ years of related RN experience preferred

Additional Information

Responsibilities include resident assessments, medication administration following the 5 Rights, wound care, and monitoring residents for changes in condition
Expected to communicate timely updates to physicians and families regarding significant changes in resident condition
Acts as floor leader, directing and assessing situations as needed and supporting CNAs
Responsible for maintaining accurate and thorough resident charting and records
Required to report any allegations of abuse, neglect, or misappropriation to the Director of Nursing and Administrator
