Description

American Traveler is hiring an Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer with a minimum of 2 years of experience across general, OB/GYN, and vascular imaging, including Epic EMR proficiency.

Details

• Outpatient or hospital-based ultrasound setting serving general, OB/GYN, and vascular patient populations
• Average of 15 scans per day
• Procedures include abdominal/RUQ with liver vessel evaluation, kidneys and bladder, pelvis (transabdominal and transvaginal), 1st trimester OB (transabdominal and transvaginal), limited 2nd/3rd trimester OB (BPP, measurements, fluid checks), testicular/scrotal evaluation, DVT/venous evaluation of both upper and lower extremities, ABIs, thyroids, aortas, and carotids
• Experience assisting with fine needle aspirations, paracentesis, and thoracentesis is preferred but not required
• Epic EMR — experience required
• 4x10 hour day shifts, Monday–Thursday, 10:30 AM–9:00 PM (40 hrs/week)
• On-call coverage Monday–Friday from 9:00 PM–6:00 AM, rotating among all day staff
• Weekend on-call coverage as needed from 6:30 PM–6:00 AM

Requirements

• Minimum of 24 months of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer
• Experience in general/abdominal, non-high-risk OB/GYN, and vascular imaging required
• ARDMS (AB) certification required
• ARDMS (RVT) and ARDMS (OB/GYN) highly preferred
• Active BLS certification from AHA or ARC required
• Epic EMR experience required
• License required if applicable
• Driver's license required for consideration
• One supervisory performance evaluation or reference from within the past 2 years required for consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are welcome, provided they have at least 2 years of ultrasound experience
• Travelers are required to work 1–2 of the 3 upcoming summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day) unless the unit is closed
• Candidates who were employed by the facility within the past 12 months may not be eligible for consideration
