Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Surgical/Orthopedics Med-Surg day shift position in Maine, requiring a minimum of 3 years of experience and active ME or Compact RN licensure.

Details

• Day shift schedule, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• 13-week contract
• Surgical/Orthopedic Med-Surg unit within a hospital setting
• Telemetry experience preferred
• 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend rotation may be required at the request of the Department Manager or Supervisor

Requirements

• Active Maine RN license or Compact RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS/BCLS and ACLS certifications required (must be obtained within 30 days of hire if not already held)
• Minimum 3 years of RN experience required
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• MOAB or CPI certifications preferred but not required
• Strong communication skills, ability to multitask, and a collaborative team-oriented approach

Additional Information

• Provides patient care under the supervision of the Unit Director and Clinical Leader/Charge Nurse in accordance with Maine Board of Nursing standards and facility policies
• Holiday coverage required for: Christmas Day, New Year's Day, Thanksgiving, Labor Day, Memorial Day, and Fourth of July
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are subject to a local pay rate
• Travelers may work a maximum of 2 consecutive 13-week assignments at this facility before being required to leave for at least 26 weeks (2 cycles) prior to returning
