Description
American Traveler is hiring an MRI Technologist for a day shift travel assignment in Maine, requiring a minimum of 3 years of experience and ARRT certification.
Details
- Diagnostic imaging department with a focus on MRI
- Operates MRI scanner to produce cross-sectional and 3D images for radiologist interpretation
- Uses PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System)
- Day shift schedule
- Every other weekend availability may be required upon request by the department manager or supervisor
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of MRI Technologist experience
- Associate's Degree required
- ARRT (Radiography) certification and registration required
- ARRT (MRI) certification preferred
- Active State of Maine Radiography license required (license required if applicable)
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for this position
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include operating the MRI scanner, consistently obtaining high-quality imaging for radiologist interpretation, and maintaining safety for all individuals within MRI zones
- Documents patient care services in hospital records
- Expected to interact compassionately and effectively with patients who are sick or injured
- Holiday coverage required for Christmas Day, New Year's Day, Thanksgiving, Labor Day, Memorial Day, and Fourth of July
- Travelers may work a maximum of 2 consecutive 13-week assignments at this facility before being required to leave for at least 26 weeks
