Description
American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist with at least 1 year of IR experience to scrub cases alongside an Interventional Radiologist on a day shift, Monday–Friday schedule with rotational weekend and call requirements.

- Interventional Radiology unit in an acute care hospital setting
- Scrubs cases alongside an Interventional Radiologist
- Procedures include ablations, nephrograms, kyphoplasty, peripheral interventions, and biopsies
- General skills utilized include portables, C-arm, contrast administration, and biopsies
- Hemodynamic monitoring is required as part of daily practice
- Day shift, 5x8 hours, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
- Monday–Friday schedule with rotational weekend coverage included
- Call requirements are included in this assignment
- Floating within the facility per scope of practice as needed
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of Interventional Radiology experience required
- Proficiency with portables, C-arm, contrast, and biopsies required
- Experience with ablations, nephrograms, kyphoplasty, peripheral interventions, and hemodynamic monitoring required
- Active professional license required if applicable
- Copies of all relevant certifications required for consideration
- Two supervisory references (Manager level or above; charge nurse references not accepted) are highly preferred
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are accepted for this position
- Local candidates are accepted for this position
- RTO is capped at a maximum of 7 days and may not be requested during the first week of the assignment
- If one or two major holidays fall within the assignment period, travelers are expected to work all applicable holidays with no holiday RTO permitted; if three major holidays fall within the assignment period, travelers are expected to work two of them
- Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day
- Travelers must have been away from all facilities in this health system for a minimum of 1 full year before returning as a travel employee
- No alternate shift or schedule change requests are permitted — the posted shift is firm
- Full compliance with onboarding requirements must be completed on time; delays may result in a 2-week start date pushback due to a bi-weekly orientation schedule
