Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric Cardiovascular OR (CVOR) position requiring a BSN and active OH or compact RN license, with a focus on cardiac invasive procedures in a pediatric hospital setting.
Details
- Works in a pediatric hospital CVOR and Cardiac Catheterization Lab environment
- Pediatric cardiovascular patient population including cardio-thoracic surgery, diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization, electrophysiology studies, ablations, and pacemaker/defibrillator insertions
- Schedule is 4x8-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
- 32 hours per week
- On-call required on a rotating weekend basis, shared equally among department nurse clinicians
- Epic EMR experience preferred
Requirements
- Active OH or compact RN license required
- BSN required; MSN preferred
- Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
- OR nursing experience required
- Minimum 2 years of pediatric cardiovascular nursing experience preferred
- Proficiency with equipment and supplies used in cardiac invasive procedures required
- Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) or similar software required
- Copy of driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration
Additional Information
- Delivers patient and family-centered care through the nursing process in collaboration with physicians and the cardiac clinical team
- Serves in both scrubbing and circulating roles in the cardiac OR and Cath Lab, including pre-procedure assessment for outpatient cases
- Develops advanced knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and related surgical and interventional procedures
- Additional responsibilities may include supporting other areas within the Heart Center, research and database maintenance, teaching, and program development
