Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical/Surgical position in Michigan, requiring a minimum of 1 year of Med/Surg experience and a Michigan RN license.

Details

• Hospital-based Medical, Surgical, and Oncology unit (37 beds)
• Patient population includes general medical diagnoses with specialties in GI, urological, and gynecological surgeries, as well as ortho/neurovascular and cardio/pulmonary patients
• Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM; 36 or 48-hour week options available
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5–6 on nights; may flex to 1:8 with LPN support
• Floating to other Med/Surg units as needed, approximately once per week
• Every other weekend required
• Holiday coverage is required; RTO during holidays cannot be guaranteed
• Block scheduling cannot be guaranteed

Requirements

• Active Michigan RN license required (pending license acceptable with ETA provided)
• Current BLS certification (AHA); pending acceptable with confirmed willingness to obtain
• Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg experience required; 2 years preferred
• Must be available for the full first two weeks of the assignment
• Comfortable working alongside a multidisciplinary team including RNs, LPNs, and techs

• Care is delivered in collaboration with a diverse team of RNs, LPNs, and patient care techs across multiple Med/Surg units
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are subject to a local pay rate
