Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring a minimum of 2 years of OB experience and active MI licensure on a 13-week night shift contract.
Details
- 15-bed LDRP unit with 3 triage bays and 2 operating rooms in a hospital setting
- Nurses care for antepartum, laboring, surgical, and postpartum/couplet care patients, as well as newborns at delivery
- Staffing ratios follow AWHONN guidelines
- Required to work all areas of the LDRP unit, including OR circulating and triage
- Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:30
- Every other weekend required
- Floating to a sister facility (approx. 27 miles away) may be required based on census and need; may also float to serve as a sitter within the house
- No on-call requirements
- EMR: Epic
Requirements
- Active MI RN license required
- Minimum 2 years of OB/L&D experience required
- Required certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate and/or NCC C-EFM
- Preferred certification: AWHONN Advanced
- Required skills: OR circulating and fetal heart monitoring (FHM) triage
- Preferred skill: scrub nurse experience
Additional Information
- RNs perform lab draws and newborn hearing screens using the ALGO 5 machine; training for the hearing screen will be provided
- Scrubs are provided by the facility
- Holiday coverage is required; holiday RTO must remain flexible based on staffing needs
- No RTO permitted during the first two weeks of the contract
