Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry night shift position requiring EPIC EMR proficiency and a TN or compact RN license.

Details

• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend required, with potential schedule adjustments based on unit need
• MS/Tele unit with a step-down level of care (no ventilators or vasopressor support)
• Patient population includes those with higher oxygen demands, dialysis patients, AFib, and post-cardiac catheterization
• Cardiac drips managed on unit include heparin, cardizem, amiodarone, and sotalol initiation
• Telemetry monitoring required
• Epic EMR used; minimum 1 year of experience required
• Floating to other qualified Prisma Health units and/or campuses may be required based on census needs

Requirements

• Active RN license in Tennessee (TN) or a compact RN license currently in hand
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg Telemetry or comparable unit experience
• Minimum 1 year of Epic EMR experience required
• Two professional references required for consideration
• Driver's license (DL) and Social Security Number (SSN) required for consideration

• First-time travelers will be considered based on relevant experience
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the contracted campus to be eligible for this night shift Med/Surg Tele position; candidates within 50 miles are not eligible
