Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical/Surgical position on a Dedicated Education Unit (DEU), with a minimum of 2 years of experience and an every-other-weekend requirement.

Details

• Hospital Med/Surg setting on a 22-bed Dedicated Education Unit (DEU) focused on foundational nursing education and preceptorship
• Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• Every other weekend required
• Floating to other units is expected at times

Requirements

• Active VA or Compact RN license currently in hand (no pending licenses accepted)
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Additional Information

• Nurses on this unit serve as highly engaged preceptors supporting newly graduated nurses during the foundational stages of their orientation
• Holiday coverage policy: if one holiday falls within the assignment, expect to work it; if two holidays fall within the assignment, expect to work one; if three, expect to work two
