Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN for a Shock Trauma Operating Room position requiring both circulating and scrub experience, with on-call and weekend availability.

Details

  • Shock Trauma Operating Room unit in a hospital setting
  • OR suite with 9 operating rooms
  • Rotating day shift schedule with a mix of 8-hour and 12-hour shifts (07:00–15:30 and 07:00–19:30)
  • One weekend per month required at minimum
  • On-call coverage required: 36 hours of pre-scheduled on-call per 6-week schedule cycle
  • Floating required within the specialty and peri-operatively, including pre-op and PACU as needed
  • Holiday coverage required as scheduled

Requirements

  • Active RN license in Maryland (MD) or a Compact RN license currently in hand
  • Current BLS certification required
  • CNOR certification preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of OR nursing experience required
  • Both circulating and scrub experience are required — this is a hard stop requirement for this position

Additional Information

  • Position is based in a Shock Trauma OR environment
  • First-time travelers will be considered for this role, provided they have strong, relevant OR experience
  • Time-off requests must be disclosed at the time of initial consideration
