Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Interventional Radiology/Pain Management position at a Level 1 Trauma Center in Illinois, requiring 2+ years of Pain/IR experience and an active IL RN license.

Details

• Interventional Radiology and Pain Management unit within a Level 1 Trauma Center
• Evening shift: 5x8s, 3:30 PM – 12:00 AM
• Every other weekend required (2 weekends per month), with occasional weekend day shifts (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM)
• On-call rotation assigned on a weekly basis: Monday–Friday 12:00 AM–8:00 AM; weekends and holidays 24 hours; on-call is rotated among all nurses
• Travelers will float within the Radiology and Pain departments; this is a mandatory float facility and all resources are required to float at the facility's discretion
• Charting in Cerner
• Lead aprons required during procedures

Requirements

• Active Illinois (IL) RN license required — pending licenses not accepted
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Pain Management and/or Interventional Radiology required; ICU experience preferred
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS
• 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
• Proof of COVID vaccination required — no exceptions

Additional Information

• This facility is a Level 1 Trauma Center
• Navy blue scrubs required; scrubs are not provided by the facility
• RTO is capped at 5 days maximum, with no more than 2 consecutive days off; no RTO on weekends, holidays, or the day before or after a holiday
• No block scheduling and no special scheduling requests will be approved
• Local candidates are accepted and preferred; candidates must reside within 75 miles of the facility
