Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a high-risk Labor & Delivery position in Iowa, requiring at least 2 years of L&D experience at a high-volume delivery center and multiple active certifications.
Details
- Hospital-based Labor & Delivery (L&D) unit
- High-risk, high-acuity obstetric patient population
- High-volume setting with approximately 200–300 deliveries per month
- Circulating experience is required; scrub experience is preferred
- May be required to float to Postpartum 1–2 shifts per week
- Floating may occur within the same discipline across local campuses
- EMR: Epic (EPIC Stork experience preferred)
Requirements
- Active Iowa RN license required; candidates with an IL RN license must also hold or be actively applying for an Iowa single-state or compact RN license
- Current certifications required: BLS (AHA or ARC), ACLS (AHA or ARC), AWHONN Fetal Monitoring, and NRP
- Minimum 2 years of L&D experience required, with experience within the past year at a larger high-volume delivery center
- High-risk and high-acuity L&D experience required
- Driver's license required for consideration
- Supervisory performance evaluation or professional reference from within the past 2 years required for consideration
- Candidates must have a taxable address more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible
Additional Information
- Multiple completed travel contracts preferred
- Epic Stork EMR experience preferred
- Travelers previously employed by the facility within the past 12 months may not be eligible for consideration
- Holiday coverage required: travelers must work 2 of the 3 winter holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year's)
- Time-off requests are limited to 1 day during the Thanksgiving and winter holiday windows
