Description

American Traveler is hiring a Travel MRI Technologist for a 13-week day shift assignment in Las Cruces, NM, requiring 2+ years of MRI experience and an active New Mexico license.

Details

• MRI Imaging department within an acute care regional medical center in Las Cruces, NM
• Day shift: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• After-hours and weekend call rotation required: approximately 1 weekday per week and 1 weekend per month
• 13-week contract
• EMR: Medhost (experience preferred)
• Imaging services provided to both inpatient and outpatient populations
• No floating required

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent MRI experience required
• Active BLS certification required
• MRT (MRI Registry through ARRT) required
• Active New Mexico radiologic technologist license required if applicable
• Graduate of an accredited AMA school preferred
• ARRT registration preferred
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• No certifications expiring within the first 30 days of the assignment start date

Additional Information

• Responsible for providing timely MRI imaging services under the direction of a Radiologist and departmental protocols
• Performs imaging of soft tissue, arterial system, brain, spine, joints, and extremities, with and without contrast media
• Adjusts imaging parameters as needed to optimize study quality
• RTO requests must be less than one week in duration
• Candidates who have worked at any CHS facility as permanent staff within the past 2 years are not eligible for this position
