Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Emergency Department RN for a 13-week night shift travel contract in New Braunfels, TX, requiring BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications.

Details

• Work setting is a hospital-based Emergency Care Center (ECC)
• Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• 13-week contract duration
• Minimum 1 year of experience in emergency nursing preferred

Requirements

• Active TX or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications required — must not be expired
• Minimum 1 year of experience in emergency or related nursing specialty
• BSN preferred
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates
• SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provides routine and complex nursing care using the full nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation
• Administers medications and treatments per protocol and monitors for side effects and effectiveness
• Addresses complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
• Documents patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided
• Assesses patient and family learning needs and provides appropriate education
• Makes appropriate assignments and delegates to other care providers as needed
• All newly hired RNs must attend New Nurses Orientation within the first 30 days
• New hires are precepted by a designated trained staff member with competency validation completed for both general organizational and ED-specific requirements
