Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Emergency Department RN for a 13-week night shift travel contract in New Braunfels, TX, requiring BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications.
Details
- Work setting is a hospital-based Emergency Care Center (ECC)
- Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- 13-week contract duration
- Minimum 1 year of experience in emergency nursing preferred
Requirements
- Active TX or Compact RN license required
- Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications required — must not be expired
- Minimum 1 year of experience in emergency or related nursing specialty
- BSN preferred
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates
- SSN required for consideration
Additional Information
- Provides routine and complex nursing care using the full nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation
- Administers medications and treatments per protocol and monitors for side effects and effectiveness
- Addresses complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
- Documents patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided
- Assesses patient and family learning needs and provides appropriate education
- Makes appropriate assignments and delegates to other care providers as needed
- All newly hired RNs must attend New Nurses Orientation within the first 30 days
- New hires are precepted by a designated trained staff member with competency validation completed for both general organizational and ED-specific requirements
