Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Inpatient Rehabilitation position in Northport, AL, requiring 2 years of experience and an active AL or compact RN license.

Details

• Inpatient rehabilitation unit within a hospital setting
• Patients include stroke, hip fracture, and pulmonary cases focused on improving functional ability and independence
• 24-hour medical monitoring provided alongside physiatrists, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and rehab nurses with daily provider rounding
• Therapy equipment on unit includes body weight support systems, treadmills, a Dynavision machine, and a simulation vehicle for discharge preparation
• Day shift, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Every other weekend required
• Holiday coverage required on a rotating basis
• Floating to other units and hospitals is required
• EMR: Meditech (experience not required)
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active AL state or compact RN license required — no pending or temporary licenses accepted
• No hits (past or current) on nursing license allowed
• Current AHA BLS or Red Cross BLS certification required
• Associate degree in nursing minimum
• At least 2 years of RN experience, with a minimum of 1 year of recent experience in inpatient rehabilitation
• NURSYS license verification required
• Must provide 2 professional references from within the last year
• Current driver's license required for consideration

• Virtual orientation provided, including competency-based modules — no HealthStream modules required prior to start
• Timekeeping system: Centricity
• Solid navy scrubs required
