Description
American Traveler is seeking a Mammography Technologist with at least 1 year of experience and ARRT(M) certification for an 8-week travel contract in Edwards, CO.
Details
- Position is based at a dedicated breast imaging center in Edwards, CO
- Breast imaging procedures include mammography, stereotactic breast biopsy, breast ultrasound, and breast ultrasound biopsy (assist)
- Patient population includes adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients
- 4x10-hour day shifts
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of mammography experience
- Active ARRT(M) certification required
- Current BLS/BCLS required
- Must adhere to MQSA and ACR guidelines for breast imaging
- Proficiency with mammography and stereotactic equipment, contrast agent procedures, and sterile techniques
- Working knowledge of breast anatomy, pathological conditions, and safe radiation administration
- Must be able to care for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations
- Active state license required if applicable
- DOB and SSN may be required for consideration
Additional Information
- Performs breast imaging procedures following MQSA and ACR guidelines
- Responsible for conducting and documenting quality control to ensure equipment operates within safe limits
- Communicates and educates patients before, during, and after procedures to guide continuity of breast health care
- Reviews completed breast imaging examinations for technical accuracy and presents results to the radiologist
- Assists with scheduling breast imaging appointments and managing department workflow
- Participates in orientation of new employees and healthcare professionals
- Promotes breast health education through organizational events
- Must maintain 24 CEUs per ARRT guidelines every two years
- Colorado CAPS registration may be required and can take up to two weeks to obtain — candidates should apply promptly
