Description
American Traveler is seeking an MRI Technologist with 2+ years of experience for a 13-week outpatient assignment, performing general and specialized MRI exams using Siemens equipment.
Details
- Outpatient clinic setting in the MRI department
- Patient population includes those requiring general MRI exams, implants, elastography, defecography, breast, and cardiac imaging
- Primary shift is 5x8-hour shifts, Monday–Friday (12:30 PM–9:00 PM); 4x10 (10:30 AM–9:00 PM) and 3x12 (8:30 AM–9:00 PM) schedule options may also be considered
- Saturday shifts (8:00 AM–4:00 PM) are required on a rotating basis, with the weekly schedule adjusted to maintain 40 total hours
- No on-call requirement
- Potential to float between two outpatient clinic locations
- Siemens MRI equipment experience required
- Epic EMR used; experience preferred
- Sectra experience preferred
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of MRI experience required
- BLS (AHA) required
- ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification required
- State license required if applicable
- SSN and Driver's License required for consideration
- Two professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
- Candidate must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify for the standard travel rate; local candidates within 60 miles may be considered on a case-by-case basis
- Radiation dosimetry badge required — must be provided by the candidate's agency, as the facility does not supply badges to travelers
Additional Information
- Performs high-quality MRI examinations in accordance with established protocols for physician interpretation, including general MRI, implants, elastography, defecography, breast, and cardiac studies
- Reports to the site supervisor and manager of radiology
- Teal top and black pants scrub colors required
- Online orientation modules are completed prior to the start of the assignment
- First-time travelers are accepted for this position
- Former permanent or PRN staff at this facility must have been separated from the system for at least 1 year before being eligible to work as a traveler
- All requested time off must be submitted at the time of consideration; approval is based on unit needs
- Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season (June–November), all staff and contractors may be assigned to emergency response duties; peak activity months are August and September
