Description

American Traveler is seeking an MRI Technologist with 2+ years of experience and ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification for a 13-week outpatient contract position.

Details

• Outpatient clinic setting in an MRI unit
• Standard schedule is 5x8-hour shifts (12:30 PM–9:00 PM), Monday–Friday; on weeks with Saturday shifts, the schedule is 4x8-hour shifts (12:30 PM–9:00 PM) Monday–Friday plus one 8-hour Saturday shift (8:00 AM–4:00 PM)
• No on-call requirement
• May be required to float to West Ashley and Mt. Pleasant facilities as needed
• Charting in Epic

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of MRI experience required
• Current BLS (AHA) and ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification required
• A state license is not required for this position; license required if applicable
• SSN and Driver's License required for consideration
• Must provide own radiation badge — the facility does not supply radiation badges to travelers
• 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are accepted for this position
• Candidates who have previously worked at any MUSC location as permanent staff or PRN must have been separated from the system for at least 1 year before being eligible to work as a traveler
• All requested time off must be submitted at the time of consideration; approval is subject to the manager's and unit's needs
• Candidates living within 60 miles of the facility are considered local; non-local candidates are prioritized
• Local candidates may be considered on a case-by-case basis
• Orientation modules are completed prior to the start date
• Teal top and black pants scrubs required
• Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season (June–November), all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams; peak months are August and September
