Description
American Traveler is hiring a Nuclear Medicine Technologist with 2+ years of experience for a 13-week acute care assignment requiring ARRT (N) or NMTCB certification and experience in a high-paced Nuclear Medicine department.
Details
- Acute care hospital setting within a Radiology – Nuclear Medicine department
- Department has 4 scanners/rooms
- Common studies include cardiac, HIDA, gastric emptying, parathyroid, thyroid, thyroid therapy, and DAT imaging
- Average of 6–10 scans/studies performed per day
- IV insertion is required in this role
- EMR: Epic; PACS: Synapse
- Equipment includes GE and Siemens scanners
- 4x10 hour day shifts, Monday–Thursday
- Weekend and holiday call requirements apply
- No floating to other areas required
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience
- Experience in a high-paced Nuclear Medicine department required
- Active ARRT (N) or NMTCB certification required; pending certifications will not be accepted
- Active BLS (AHA) certification required
- Active state license required; pending licenses will not be accepted — license required if applicable
- A valid driver's license is required for consideration
- 2 professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire
Additional Information
- Radiologist is on-site
- A radiation badge (Rad Badge) will be provided
- No scrubs provided; solid color scrubs required — no prints or graphics
- Department-specific orientation is provided; candidates must be on-site for the orientation week even if initial modules are completed remotely
- Candidates must reside at least 60 miles from the facility; a driver's license is used to verify permanent address
- Travelers are expected to float within the zone they are hired into and are responsible for securing housing that supports this requirement
- Candidates may not have been directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facility within the past year; candidates employed PRN through outside firms will be considered
