Description
American Traveler is seeking a Radiology Technologist (X-Ray) for a 13-week travel contract in Waco, TX, requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience with C-arm, fluoroscopy, and portable imaging.
Details
- Imaging/X-Ray department in a hospital setting serving ambulatory and inpatient populations
- Patient population spans all age groups: newborn, pediatric, young adult, adult, and geriatric
- Procedures include C-arm, fluoroscopy, and portable imaging; O-arm experience is a plus
- 5x8-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
- On-call may be required
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in radiology with proficiency in C-arm, fluoroscopy, and portable imaging
- Active ARRT (R) certification required
- Active TX MRT license required if applicable
- BLS certification required (AHA only)
- 2 professional references required for consideration
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
Additional Information
- Perform high-quality radiology procedures according to exam protocol, including positioning patients, adjusting equipment, and setting exposure factors
- Responsible for radiation dose monitoring and adherence to dose reference level protocols
- Maintain accurate medical imaging records and relevant patient documentation in accordance with department standards
- Maintain equipment and work area to meet quality and cleanliness standards; assist with supplies inventory
- Flu vaccination is mandatory with no exemptions; typically required between August and November
- Solid-color scrubs required; no printed patterns
