Description

American Traveler is seeking a travel Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer with a minimum of 1 year of experience, including outpatient ultrasound, for a 13-week hospital-based assignment.

Details

• Hospital-based general ultrasound/sonography unit
• Exams performed across multiple settings including the main department, surgery, emergency department, and patient floors
• Day shift schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM (5x8-hour shifts)
• On-call rotation required: 2 days per week and every other weekend, with a 30-minute call response requirement
• Candidates with outpatient ultrasound experience will be considered

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound/Sonography program
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Sonographer
• Active ARDMS or ARRT certification required
• Current BLS/CPR certification required
• Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 100 lbs with proper body mechanics
• Must be able to stand, walk, bend, squat, and twist for extended periods
• Must be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
• Must be able to handle critical and highly stressful situations with efficiency and composure
• 2 supervisor references from within the last 3 years of employment required for consideration
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Responsible for providing quality diagnostic imaging to aid in patient diagnosis and continuity of care, and assisting the Radiologist with exams
• This position is designated as safety sensitive under Arkansas Act 593 governing Medical Marijuana
• The facility conducts its own on-site drug screen upon arrival, which includes marijuana — a positive result is an automatic cancellation with no exceptions; candidates should avoid anything that could produce a positive result, including CBD products
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not accepted
