Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU (CVPICU) position at a Level I Pediatric Trauma Center, requiring at least 2 years of pediatric experience and a TN or compact RN license.
Details
- Work setting is a children's hospital Level I Pediatric Trauma Center
- Position is in the Cardiovascular Pediatric ICU (CVPICU)
- Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:00
- Weekends required on an as-needed basis; weekend block scheduling will be considered
- Floating between like units and campuses within 20 miles may occur, though cross-campus floating is rare
- Cerner EMR experience preferred
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active RN license — TN state license or NLC Compact license required; pending licensure is not accepted
- Minimum 2 years of recent pediatric nursing experience required; 3+ years preferred
- BSN preferred
- Driver's license required for consideration
- At least one completed prior travel assignment required — first-time travelers are not eligible unless they have 3+ years of recent experience
Additional Information
- Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility — local candidates are not accepted
- If Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's all fall within the assignment period, the traveler must be willing to work at least 2 of the 3 holidays; if only 2 fall within the assignment, at least 1 must be worked
- Former permanent employees or internal associate travelers must have been separated for at least one year before being eligible to return as a traveler
- All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted upfront — no RTO will be approved after an offer has been made
- Vaccination status must be provided for consideration
