Description
American Traveler is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist with 2+ years of experience for a 13-week travel contract at an inpatient rehabilitation facility in Chandler, AZ.
Details
- Inpatient rehabilitation hospital setting with 40 beds
- Speech Therapy department serving an adult patient population
- Common diagnoses include neurological, orthopedic, cardiac, and fall-related conditions
- Caseload of 8 patients per therapist, supported by 1-2 therapy assistants and 1 rehab tech
- Specialized equipment includes Vector, LiteGait, Saebo, InMotion ARM, Senaptec Sensory, and Technobody systems
- EHR system: UDS
- Day shift, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
- Weekends on request
- Float option to a sister facility approximately 8 miles away
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of SLP experience required
- Inpatient rehabilitation experience required
- Current AHA BLS certification required
- AHA certifications required
- Strong time management skills and experience with point-of-care documentation
- Knowledge of GG Scoring required
- Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
- Active SLP license required if applicable
Additional Information
- Provide speech, language, swallowing, and cognitive rehabilitation to adult inpatient populations
- Wine-colored scrubs required
- Candidates must live more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
- Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
- Candidates who are currently employed full-time elsewhere are not eligible
- First-time travelers will be considered
