Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced OB/GYN Clinic RN for a Labor & Delivery position in Portland, OR, requiring Epic proficiency and strong obstetric emergency knowledge.

Details

  • Clinic-based OB/GYN setting focused on maternity and gynecological care for women
  • Labor & Delivery (L&D) experience accepted; L&D nurses are encouraged to apply
  • Day shift schedule: 5x8-hour shifts (8:30 AM – 5:00 PM)
  • No weekend or on-call requirements
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Travelers are expected to float between all facilities within Oregon; refusal to float may result in termination of assignment

Requirements

  • Active Oregon RN license required; pending license is acceptable as long as application has been submitted (must obtain within 2 weeks of start)
  • Minimum 2 years of OB/GYN or L&D nursing experience
  • Proficiency with Epic EMR required
  • Strong knowledge of obstetric emergencies (e.g., placenta previa, ectopic pregnancy, gestational hypertension, preeclampsia) required
  • Telephone triage skills for obstetric emergencies required
  • Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting required for consideration
  • Full SSN and DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Responsibilities include triaging obstetric emergencies over the phone, responding to patient inquiries via Epic and voicemail, and performing clinic duties related to maternity and gynecological care
  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply
  • Local candidates are accepted
  • Former permanent employees of this health system must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler, and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
  • RTO should be disclosed upfront at the time of consideration; minimal RTO is strongly preferred
  • Previous employment at any facility within this health system (permanent, travel, or per-diem) must be disclosed, including location and dates
