Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for a Step-Down/Med-Surg Overflow position at a Level I Trauma Center, requiring at least 2 years of experience and prior travel nursing experience.

Details

• Short-term acute care hospital setting, Level I Trauma Center
• Step-Down/Med-Surg Overflow unit with a cardiovascular patient population
• Team nursing model with a 1:12 patient ratio
• Day shift, 7:00–19:00 (3x12-hour shifts)
• 36 or 48-hour workweek options available; schedule may be discussed during interview
• On-call required as needed
• Weekend shifts required as needed
• Floating between like units and campuses within 20 miles may occur, though cross-campus floating is rare
• Cerner EMR experience preferred

Requirements

• Active RN license — TN state license or Compact (NLC) license required; pending licensure not accepted
• Active Driver's License required for consideration
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required; 3+ years preferred
• Level I Trauma Center experience required
• Large hospital experience required
• Cardiovascular nursing experience required
• At least one completed prior travel assignment required; first-time travelers are not eligible
• ADN degree minimum required for this position
• Prior travel nursing experience required

Additional Information

• Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted
• All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed at the time of application, as RTO cannot be approved after an offer has been made
• If Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's fall within the assignment period, the traveler must be willing to work at least 2 of the 3 holidays; if only 2 fall within the assignment, at least 1 must be worked
• Former permanent employees or internal associate travelers must have been separated for at least one year before being eligible to return
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
