Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Pediatric Acute Care RN for a night shift travel position at a JCAHO-accredited regional health center in a culturally rich, rural area of Northwestern Arizona serving the Navajo, Hopi, and Southern Paiute communities.

- Pediatric acute care unit within a JCAHO-accredited, 73-bed regional hospital serving a 4,400 square mile area of the western Navajo and Hopi Reservations
- Night shift schedule: 1800–0630
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active AZ or compact RN license required
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing required
- Minimum 3 years of experience required
- Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and PALS (all from the American Heart Association)
- P-CAR (Complete Pediatric Trauma Care After Resuscitation) and NIHSS must be completed within 6 months of hire
- COVID-19 vaccination required (exemptions may be accepted with a submitted declination form)
Additional Information
- Delivers professional nursing care to pediatric patients of all ages and their families, working independently per physician orders, standards of care, and hospital policies
- The facility is located in a very rural area of Northwestern Arizona on the Colorado Plateau — candidates should be prepared for a remote work environment
- On-site housing may be available at $600/month based on availability — a housing application must be submitted 2 weeks prior to start date
- Housing units are shared; no family members or pets are permitted
- Fingerprinting is required prior to start and is completed during the compliance process via mail
- Orientation runs on a bi-weekly schedule
- SSN is required for consideration for this position
