Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring a minimum of 2 years of OB experience and Epic proficiency in a hospital setting in Edmonds, WA.
Details
- Hospital Labor & Delivery unit setting
- Patient population includes Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, OB Triage, Antepartum, and Normal Newborn
- Staffing ratio of 1:1–3
- Procedures include vaginal and cesarean deliveries, OR circulation, adult IV starts, blood/blood product administration, and management of drains, epidural pumps, and PCA pumps
- Medications managed include insulin and magnesium sulfate
- Equipment experience includes High Risk Antepartum, High Risk L&D, LDRP, Low Risk Antepartum/LD, OB-GYN, Post-Op/Pre-Op, and Couplet Care
- Charting via Epic (required)
- Day shift: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
- Floating between facilities within the state is required as needed
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active WA RN license or valid Compact RN license currently in hand
- Current certifications required: BLS, AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM), and NRP
- ACLS preferred
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience in L&D, LDRP, Postpartum, and/or Newborn care
- Proficiency in fetal heart monitoring (FHM), IV starts, and OR circulation
- Epic EMR experience required
- Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty
- Full SSN and DOB required for consideration
Additional Information
- Local candidates are accepted at the same rate
- Former permanent employees of any Providence-affiliated facility must have been separated from the health system for a minimum of 3 months and must not reside within 50 miles of the facility to be eligible
- Refusal to float between facilities within the state may result in termination of assignment
- Minimal RTO is strongly preferred for this position
