Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a GI/Endoscopy position requiring a NC or Compact RN license in hand and a minimum of 2 years of experience.
Details
- Hospital-based Endoscopy unit
- Day shift schedule: 4x10-hour shifts, 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM
- Every other weekend required
- 13-week contract
- Local candidates within 75 miles of the facility are accepted at a reduced rate
Requirements
- Active NC or Compact RN license currently in hand
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications in hand
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience preferred; candidates with less experience may be considered
- One supervisory professional reference from within the last year required for consideration
- Full SSN and DOB required for consideration
Additional Information
- First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
- Flu vaccine is required between October 31 and March 31 with no exemptions accepted
- Orientations are held bi-weekly

Unnecessarily strict policies when sick/injured; doctor notes are not accepted as an “excuse”, micromanagement, unprofessional leadership, bullying, favoritism and unfairness, not willing to train certain people in certain areas or approve certain people’s requests off , heavy workload and constantly being rushed, micromanaged, and distracted by gossip/drama while having to pay attention to detail, not willing to repair/replace certain functions.
